Personalized Dental Care in the Comfort of Your Own Home.

As an independent registered mobile dental hygienist, I come equipped with everything you would see at your appointment in the dentist’s office – except you don’t have to leave the house!

I am dedicated to providing calm, comforting, patient-focused care and reducing the barriers of accessibility to dental care in North Bay and the surrounding area. I focus on preventative care and early detection to ensure you get the best treatment based on you and your family member’s unique, individual needs.

Services Available

Oral Assessment

I’ll start with a thorough examination, checking for any signs of oral cancer, giving your mouth's hard and soft tissues a thorough look, and ensuring your dentures are in top-notch shape (if applicable).

Professional Cleaning & Dental Hygiene Diagnosis

I will skillfully clear away plaque and tartar from your teeth and gums with precision (in the dental hygiene world, we call it scaling) – it's like a superhero rescue mission for your smile! For those stubborn spots, I can offer a numbing gel to help manage pain.

Cavity Prevention

Ever heard of fluoride varnish? It's like a superhero shield for your teeth, preventing those pesky cavities and giving your pearly whites a boost in remineralization. And then there's silver diamine fluoride – a dental wizard that not only stops tooth decay in its tracks but also puts the brakes on any plans it had to spread or grow.

Oral Hygiene Education

We will chat about simple yet effective steps for preventing issues and maintaining your oral health for the long run. I'm here to make sure you've got the tools and know-how to rock a healthy and happy smile.

Tooth Stain Removal

As your dental hygienist, I've got the expertise to gently and effectively remove those pesky discolorations, leaving your teeth sparkling and bright. Say goodbye to stains and hello to a radiant smile!

Denture Care

I will conduct a thorough check for any wear or damage to your dentures, and I'll share expert tips on how to keep them in top-notch condition at home. Your comfort and dentures' longevity are my top priorities.

Written Referrals

If I discover anything during my examination or cleaning that I believe requires X-rays or any other care from a dentist, I will happily provide a written referral and recommendation to a dental office in North Bay.

Ready to level up your smile game? Let's get that appointment on the calendar, so we can keep your teeth happy, healthy, and ready to shine – because your smile deserves the utmost care and attention.

In-Home Dental Visits: How They Work

  • Book Your Appointment

New patients are encouraged to book a brief 15-minute consultation call with me via the button below. Once we are connected, I will send you a comprehensive form to fill out your health history & insurance info, and then we can find a date and time that fits your schedule for the appointment.

  • I Come to You!

On the day of our appointment, you can kick back and relax while I get all of my equipment set up in your home or long-term care facility. If you have a favourite recliner you would like to sit in while I work, you are more than welcome to use it! I also have a chair I can set up if preferred.

  • Enjoy Your Healthy Smile!

After your dental examination and cleaning is complete, we will go over some at-home care instructions, and I will provide you with written referrals if there is anything noted during the examination that would warrant a trip to the dentist.

Mobile Dental Hygiene is a Newer Field! Here Are The Answers to Some Questions You Might Have About In-Home Dental Care Appointments

  • Yes! I can assure enhanced safety as I must follow strict sterilization protocols with my mobile equipment as per the Ontario Dental Hygienists' Association (ODHA).

  • Yes! My services should be covered by most comprehensive health benefit plans. If you do not have insurance, please check out my resources page to learn about some funding opportunities you might be able to tap into.

  • Surprisingly, no! [NEED CONTENT FROM EMILIE FOR HERE]

  • While it is recommended to see a dentist annually, it does not need to be before your mobile dental cleaning.

Part of our appointment will involve an assessment of your overall oral health, and if I see anything that is a cause for concern, I will write you a referral to see a dentist or dental surgeon. If, by chance, I think you might have a cavity, I do also have products available that can ‘arrest’ or stop it from getting any worse until you can book that visit with the dentist.

  • No. Dental x-rays are used for diagnostic purposes which is beyond the scope of practice of a dental hygienist. With that said, if I see anything concerning which would benefit from an x-ray, I will happily refer you to a local dentist’s office.

  • Not currently. My hope is to create that link between individuals who lack accessibility to dental care, and our local dental offices.
